I am Noel Mhone, a Malawian educator, chemist, technology enthusiast, and Android developer passionate about using knowledge and technology to solve practical problems and create meaningful impact.

My professional journey has brought together three areas that I deeply value: education, science, and technology. I spent more than 14 years working in education, where I developed a strong interest in teaching, instructional design, and creating better learning experiences for students and teachers. I currently work as a Chemist in Malawi's Ministry of Mining, where I apply analytical chemistry and laboratory expertise to the analysis of rocks, minerals, and water and to support the country's mineral sector.

Beyond my professional work, I am a self-taught technology developer who enjoys turning ideas into practical digital tools. I have developed Android applications and web-based solutions in areas including education, agriculture, school management, and productivity. My educational applications have helped make learning resources more accessible to students, teachers, and parents across Malawi.

Some of my projects have been inspired by real problems I have personally encountered. From developing digital learning resources for Malawian learners to creating farm-management tools for farmers, my approach is simple: identify a problem, understand it, and build something useful.

I was a Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program scholar in 2022, an experience that broadened my perspective on education, innovation, and global collaboration. I have also participated in various scientific, technical, and professional development programmes.

Through this website, I share my projects, ideas, experiences, applications, writing, and lessons learned. It is also a place where I document my journey of exploring how technology can be applied to real-world challenges.

My Philosophy

I believe technology should not exist simply because it is possible to build it. It should exist because it solves a problem, makes something easier, creates an opportunity, or improves someone's life.
